#REWINDWEDNESDAY

Even though its not Throwback Thursday, or Flashback Friday, we've dedicated this day to rewind Wednesday.

Just rewinding to the awesome memories of the NACC Championship games against Edgewood College in 2012 and 2013. Where the AU Spartans were named NACC CHAMPS!

"I am a member of a team, and I rely on the team, and I defer to it and sacrifice for it, because the team, not the individual, is the ultimate champion."---Mia Hamm

Time for a good chuckle

Here are some jokes for you fellow soccer lovers--

1. What tea do soccer players drink?

2. Why are soccer players good at math?

3. Why did the soccer ball quit the team?

Answers:

1. PenalTea!

2. They know how to use their heads

3. He was tired of being kicked around

Spartans put in work on and off the field

Good Afternoon!

Just dropping by to tell you what the ladies have been up to lately. The team has been working hard at spring practice, but have also been putting in work off the field.

This program has something many DIII programs don't offer. The Strength and Conditioning program here at AU is something the girls really enjoy.

They athletes here at AU are able to workout in a brand new weight room that is just over a year old.

On top of three days of practice during the Spring the ladies also have three days of lifting. Chad Trudo the head Strength and Conditioning Coach here has made it enjoyable for the girls.

Here are some photos of the team during their lifts. As you can see in the second photo, they did athletes vs. coaches in a plank train battle. Can you guess who won?

The girls here work hard to improve themselves everyday, and this is just one of the many ways they do so. Being a part of a program like this is something you will never forget. The girls have become a family and continue to grow as a team in the weight room, and on the field.

Recruits--
It's your time to join in and create a second family for yourself!

Don't forget to give back!

The Spartans are training hard getting ready for season, but thats not all they are doing.

A couple of weeks ago the team went to Feed My Starving Children  to volunteer and pack bags of food for children all over the world.

Feed My Starving Children is something that everyone should experience. It was great team bonding, and a good experience for the girls.

On Saturday April, 5th the girls will end practice early and go take part in Aurora University's Morning of Service. The lady's take part in this event every year where the go out and help those in their community.

Here is a picture of the girls last year where they cleaned up the Fox Valley River. To all the recruits this team is apart of something bigger then themselves, and you can be apart of something special.

Helping others is something the girls really take pride in, and who else better to help then your community who comes and supports you.

Don't forget it always about giving back!
